Today's Agenda: Web.site. All I have to say.
I've been searching for wall sconces for a client. They are to replace the ones over this mantle.
We're streamlining this mantle. And we're adding a lot of layers of materials (wood, leather, ceramic, iron, steel, granite, stone) in this room in just a few shades of caramel, gray/pewter, ivory, black. I'm really liking the look we are creating. A sophisticated palette with great stories behind each piece.
I've found these Jonathan Adler wall sconces that I'm strangely attracted too -- in Brass!! I really can't stop thinking about them today.
Is brass back? Did it ever leave? Is it just about brass being tasteful and not tacky? I think that's it. Basically, I think well edited pieces in brass can add the right shine to a room. Like these.
Loving how brass can go any style -- modern, vintage, traditional. Definitely taking note of you, brass.

LOVE the Adler sconces! And wouldn't they look fabulous if you lacquered the mantel and the trim around the TV opening? Not sure about the gun, though :-)
ReplyDeleteI really love that Adler scone as well. I've even tried to use it in my own house but it's too large for my space. I hope you end up using it. I'd love to see them installed somewhere. I totally agree about well edited brass being a really wonderful addition to a space.
