Today's Agenda: Thinking about plans for the weekend...it is Wednesday after all. On this weekend's agenda is a visit to Signature Theatre's Open House on Saturday {Probably the best reason to visit Shirlington!}. Several preview performances of their 2009-2010 season will be shown {and talks and other events including performances from one of the jazz regulars at the legendary Blues Alley in Georgetown will be held}. Saturday, Noon to 9pm, every 15 minutes. See the schedule here.
It is one of my favorite theatres! We saw a production of Les Mis last season and it was wonderful. Stage is fantastic (intimate but not too close, comfortable) and the public areas in the theatre are beautiful. Savory food and fun beverage selections as well so no need to find a good pre-theatre option! And, it won a 2009 Tony Award for Best Regional Theatre.
