Today's Agenda: I know that the movie Julie and Julia had lovers and haters. But given what I'm trying to do with my life right now I actually find it inspiring. Maybe in a few years it'll be annoying, but I'm not sure. And, it is a fact that I am naturally predisposed to movies like this. I just can't help it.
After a weekend of taking care of husband while he is on crutches trying to heal from a stress fracture (no weight bearing on his right leg for 6 weeks!!!) and taking care of our beloved Mazda (she needs a new valve), I'm indulging in a night of salmon with grilled peppers and onions and a nice slice of triple cream cheese sitting right underneath the salmon to get it all melty and good, black mission figs with homemade whip cream and crystallized ginger and some website design. Not bad.
And, this find wasn't so bad either -- Orig. $74.99 -- on sale in store b/c it was an online return and...for only $37.50!
Anyone want to kick off a design project with this lovely wallpaper???!

Trying to figure out where I can put this :)
ReplyDeleteThat paper is pretty awesome. Hope you find a good home for it. Don't pay attention to the haters. I remind myself every day that Julia didn't start cooking until she was 37. Be strong in the knowledge that you are pursuing your dream. If you hadn't taken the leap you would have spent the rest of your life wonder what if?!!
ReplyDeleteDina -- What if we removed the two side pieces to your TV and wallpapered that wall behind the TV? Or took everything off of the mantle and took down the curtains and put the wallpaper around the mantle and then layered things back onto the mantle? Or...your walk in closet/dressing area ?? :) So many places, really :) I mean, your pantry would be a happy home for this paper!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Aimee! I remind myself of that fact about Julia Child regularly :)
