Today's Agenda: Unexpectedly enjoying new laptop desk! This weekend's trip to Ikea was purposeful -- return items + source home office furniture and accessories for a project I am working on. In addition to doing both, I also came home with this laptop desk (and a few other goodies as well as some great ideas!).
I wasn't sure how it would work -- would it be sturdy enough? would it feel weird typing on a slanted surface? would it look a little too much like a flying saucer?
Verdict is it is fantastic! Blends in with the room and is great for working on the laptop in the living room, and not on my lap. It's so comfortable to pull the desk up to the couch, get the laptop and mini-mouse out and go to town. I'm not sure how I was able to work on the computer in the living room without it!
I totally have this - and it has been getting lots of use as of late since my desk is in storage. I like the white - when I was at Ikea they only had royal blue. Also, as a heads - up, I scratched the heck out of my floor. There's a weird screw that sticks out sort of in the crux of the Y feet (underneath the pole). Made it floor friendly by covering that up with some fabric.
